Our Vision & Mission

Who are we?
La Escuela Galaxia: Galaxy Infant School is a unique centre for children from 6 months to 6 years of age. We have made it our focus to cater to the niche segment of society who aspires to provide the finest quality of education, hygiene, and safety in a well-rounded learning environment for their tiny tots.
We believe that our philosophy of delivering education with the objective of inculcating the eight multiple intelligence within our children makes our institution stand a cut above the rest. Our institution has aspired to create an environment that encourages all children to have the freedom of expressing themselves through movement and thought. This holistic and inclusive vision of our school ensures that every child feels seen and heard. We try, wherever possible, to support the children in the growth of their talents, no matter how big or small they may seem. We trust that this approach allows children to develop self-confidence, discipline, and responsibility, whilst simultaneously improving creativity and logical thinking.
Following our inception in 2019, as an infant school introducing an unprecedented concept of experiential learning for kindergarteners, our growing outreach took a hit from the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Adhering to the government guidelines and prioritising the safety of our students, our school provided online classes for over a year. Imbibing the recent overwhelming support and encouragement received from the parents, our institution re-established its pre-COVID rhythm and grew beyond our expectations. Our newly inaugurated branches at the KINFRA PARK and Narikkal are but a physical symbol of our dedication to the future generations.

What is 'multiple intelligence'?
Dr Howard Gardner theorises that a person’s talents and capabilities can be captured fully by understanding that they do not only have intellectual capacity, but also many types of non-academic intelligence, including:

-
Spatial intelligence – Includes development of imagination, visualization, problem solving, and creativity via activities like sketching, painting, craft, interpreting visual images, and picture reading.
-
Linguistic intelligence – Includes speaking, listening, perceiving, viewing, reading, writing & representing skills along with articulation of language.
-
Logical intelligence – Includes understanding of numbers, patterns, sequence, calculations & timelines, spatial awareness, application of logic, problem solving skills and handling data.
-
Kinaesthetic intelligence – Includes physical development and expression through art, craft, dance, role play, and acting.
-
Rhythmic intelligence – Includes recognizing and responding to music/patterns of sounds, ability to sing, picking up melodies and rhythms.
-
Interpersonal intelligence – Includes understanding of how to interact with people, working in groups, leading, sharing and caring, helping, organizing, communication, and resolving conflicts.
-
Intrapersonal intelligence – Includes understanding of one’s strength & weakness, emotions & thoughts, ability to work/analyze individually, and setting goals.
-
Environmental intelligence – Includes understanding animals & plants, observing their characteristics and analyzing their behaviour.

What is our objective?
A Fairy Princess. A Car Racer. A Mommy. A Police Officer. A Superhero. An Astronaut.
These are among a few of the replies you may hear when your child is asked, “What do you want to become once you’ve grown up?” Your child’s response could give you an insight about the way they learn, and the type of 'multiple intelligence' they possess.

We believe that academic learning is only a small part of the knowledge a child needs to absorb to grow up into upstanding citizens. The most important part of the learning happens without conscious effort and is called Latent Learning. It happens without the child’s awareness and remains hidden in their memory. Latent learning happens every moment of every day and helps the child develop important life skills. Children tend to observe everything around them and absorb concepts like a sponge. But this information is not necessarily exhibited from the very next day, but instead, later in their lives when a situation arises, this knowledge re-surfaces into their minds allowing them to utilize the skills they have unknowingly gained.

At La Escuela Galaxia: Galaxy Infant School, we believe that it is crucial to provide children with the opportunity to discover their own learning styles, by exposing them to different scenarios, to express their own ideas. We understand that a child may have multiple preferred learning styles, and therefore, it becomes necessary to provide a suitable environment to nurture them.
What is our approach?
"In youth we learn; in age we understand."

The curriculum we follow is focused on better teaching, improved learning performance, building clear concepts, fluency in English, and obtaining superior outcomes. This curriculum helps us nurture a child's creativity in all aspects of their growth, be it logical reasoning, interpersonal skills, artistic abilities, or their curiosity in how the world goes about. The main aim of our school is to make learning as fun as play by encouraging a child's participation and engagement in the classroom.

What do we provide?
Taking into consideration the abilities and interests of each individual child, we strive to help the parents understand and promote their children's skills and strengths, with the aid of trained teachers and our very own child psychologist, all of whom work at the school itself.

Our classroom transactions, fueled by a passion for teaching, and encouraged by a curiosity to learn, promote a deeper understanding of concepts, and help build confidence in children by providing them successful learning experiences, as well as an understanding of their own strengths and weaknesses.

In addition to our curriculum, we also offer state-of-the-art facilities and parental access to CCTV cameras that help you in making the straightforward choice of entrusting your child in our care.
